SEYN’s Theory of Change

Key Audience

Youth 18-35 years old Concerned with climate change and energy challenges, interested in being actively involved in the solutions and community development

Educators & Educational Institutions

Community Organizations (focus on communities with the potential to benefit from RE solutions / lacking access to renewable/sustainable energy)

Problem Addressed

Energy Poverty: Unreliable and/or insufficient access to energy

Environmental Sustainability: Energy systems contributing to environmental problems

Distribution Gap: Centralized design, Ownership and Management of energy system preventing young people and community to engage meaningfully

Capacity Gap: Limited awareness/ Knowledge of the potential of RE to address the above problems and lack of actionable resources/tools/skills to implement locally appropriate solutions
